Formosa Gardens Guide

Formosa Gardens is not only the closest resort community to Walt Disney World; it can also boast the largest luxury rental homes in Kissimmee. These lavish villas are set in one of the most beautiful communities in Florida, many of them sleeping up to sixteen people, making this a very popular choice for larger parties.

Each house in Formosa Gardens is situated on its own half to one acre plot of land, a luxury practically unheard of in the Kissimmee area, some with lakefront views, so if it's space you're looking for then this resort is for you.

Formosa Gardens are surrounded by picturesque lakes and unspoilt orange groves; in such an idyllic space of tranquility, you could be forgiven for forgetting that Disney World is only a mere two miles away, or even the cheery hubbub of Formosa Gardens Shopping Village's fantastic range of shops and restaurants, only a few minutes' walk from your door.

Formosa Gardens Village

The Formosa Gardens shopping village attached to the community is a great location for a full dining and shopping experience, only a ten minute walk outside of the main estate. The village's Jungle Golf Maingate is also home to the area's newest adventure golf course, with two 18-hole courses to choose from, for family fun at all ages.

At Formosa Plaza, there is an eclectic range of dining experiences on offer, from the popular chain TGI Friday's, to the fresh seafood restaurant Red Lobster, country style wholesome foods at Cracker Barrel, grills and barbecues for an Australian-style experience at The Outback Steakhouse, bellissima pizza and pasta at Giordano's Italian, and for those hoping to get their sugar fix, Dairy Queen has an extensive array of ice creams and cakes on offer. Fast food favourites such as MacDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's are all just across the road on the 192.

Getting set for a great night in? Grab a bottle of bubbly, vintage wine, cocktail mixers or just a six-pack of your favourite beer at the Empire Liquor store, and stock up on the nibbles at the Marketplace supermarket. If you've run out of room on your camera for shots of all the amazing sights you've seen, the Camera Shop has all the add-ons you require, and you could even pick up your Disney souvenirs in the Gift shop, ready to show off to everyone back home.
