Reunion Resort Guide

Imagine an idyllic paradise where family fun and relaxing breaks coincide and all your holiday dreams are realized: you are staying at Reunion Resort, one of the newest and most exclusive resort communities in Florida.

By choosing this private community to take your break from it all, you could find yourself open to so much choice that you will wonder why you would ever leave the resort.

The resort offers activities to fit any age range and any mood, with more facilities than any other rental community in the Orlando and Disney area. These facilities include three championship golf courses and golf academy, a fantastic water park, pool pavilion, tennis complex, tranquil spa, numerous restaurants offering a variety of food styles, a "kids crew" and playground, gymnasium and fitness center, bicycle and walking trails and on-site shopping: just a few of so many options available.

Sporting Activities

The three magnificent golf courses form a major attraction of Reunion Resort, all designed by championship golfers such as Arnold Palmer, who designed the resort's Legacy course. This course has a hilly, unpredictable terrain that makes it especially challenging for advanced golfers, with six tee locations on each hole, so you can change your game over many variations on the 18-hole course. In comparison, the Tradition course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, has a smooth layout that lulls golfers into a false sense of security as it draws them into risky shots. The Independence course, designed by Tom Watson, yet again offers new challenges, over a wide layout of large greens.

For those who like their sport a little faster paced, the resort's tennis complex features six flood-lit hard courts, with a full tennis shop to pick up any gear you'll require, and the opportunity to book some great one-on-one lessons. The fitness centre also offers some pulse-raising activities including various classes throughout the year, as well as the typical treadmills, cross-trainers and various high-tech cardio and weight training equipment, some of which have built in screens that allow users to check their email or catch up with a favourite TV show whilst they sweat.

Go off into the great outdoors and hire a bike seven days a week, or walk or run along the activity trails that run through the resort, taking in the lush surroundings in a more tranquil location, setting your own pace as you explore.

Child's Play

Children need activities that will constantly capture their growing minds and bodies, so why not let them loose in the playground. It's right next to the tennis centre, so they can run, jump, swing and slide to their heart's content.

Are the kids too cool to hang out with mum and dad? Guests aged 4-12 can hang out with new friends in the Kids Crew club, giving them activities to take part in away from their parents. Fully supervised by great team leaders, children can play all day, and even have lunch, exploring the nature trails, splashing in the pool and hunting for treasure, while the parents take a well-earned rest at the spa.

If swimming in the pool's just not adventurous enough, the resort's amazing water park will keep the whole family entertained with splashy fun, shooting down the twisting water slides. Alternatively, make a splash in the cool waters of the Seven Eagles Pool Pavilion, letting the water ease away any tension as you sit back in one of the Jacuzzis. The pavilion also offers outdoor billiards and a game room, with poolside dining for when you feel a bit peckish.

Spa

When you've been out seeing the sights all day, you need to lie down and take a load off. Sink into luxury under a massage therapist, treat yourself to skin and body treatments, or give yourself a pampering session of salon services before it's time to go out for the evening. Spa therapies are available in the treatment room or out under the skies, no matter what your preference, this is the ultimate escape from a hectic schedule.

The Premier Caviar Facial is the ultimate luxury in anti-aging treatments, and a very different experience to the Aromatherapy Facial. The spa offers facials of so many types, you can be sure to find the one to suit your skin type, and a personal consultation will help you to ensure that you will receive the maximum benefits.

Massages also come in a variety of options, from deep tissue for those suffering from muscle tightness, to warm stone massages that ease away tensions and stress, to aromatherapy massages that calm the nerves with soothing oils. Mums-to-be can even soothe their joints by receiving a prenatal massage. New-age techniques such as reflexology are also a feature on the menu here.

Other spa treatments include manicures, pedicures and waxing, with all options available as spa packages, allowing you to mix and match treatments at a discounted rate.

Dining

Reunion Resort is home to several wonderfully styled restaurants and bars, all with their own unique personalities, including the luxurious Forte restaurant, a chic contemporary chophouse, and The Cove at Seven Eagles, the community's Caribbean-inspired poolside island paradise. No matter what your preferred dining style, the resort has plenty of choice on offer to fit the bill, such as Eleven, the sophisticated rooftop lounge specializing in new world cuisine, and the Grande Lobby Bar, which is the perfect setting for an evening cocktail. Or why not choose the diner that fits your activity, with a full service running at the water park, or take a break from golfing at the relaxing Clubhouse Restaurant just off the resort's Watson Independence course. Children's menus are readily available, and children under eight can eat for free in selected restaurants.
