Nightlife
Miami
Nightlife in Miami is some of the most diverse in the world: there are over a hundred and fifty venues in South Beach alone, with some restaurant-bars offering a vibrant selection of live music, creating a funky ambience for your dinner, from Acoustic Rock to cheesy Pop to pulsing Hip-Hop and slinky Jazz. There is music to suit every taste in this smorgasbord of sounds. Salsa the night away to a Latin beat, or swish those ruffles shaking up some Flamenco. Latin clubs are on the rise in the area; however all are determined to create their own unique stamp on the genre.
Greater Miami is home to the hottest and most exclusive nightclubs in the world, with club music to suit all tastes and all budgets. The majority of clubs and bars remain open until 5am, with lots of feel-good partying and new live music emerging in the Design District area.
Downtown Miami has also begun to rival South Beach's reputation for new emerging hot spots, pulling a young, hip crowd to new beats, while Coconut Grove is a favorite late-night stop for Miami's fashion folk and merry-makers.
For a more laid back evening, watch social butterflies flit by as you relax with an expertly made cocktail, and simply chill out. If clubs and bars don't fit your night out, why not catch a show? The most popular Miami theatres are the Actor's Playhouse and Coconut Grove Playhouse, which show full Broadway musicals and alternative theatre, including some Spanish-spoken shows.
